Fostering a growth mindset in secondary mathematics classrooms in the Netherlands

In a search for tools to support students change towards growth mindsets, interventions were implemented by 17 teachers and their 512 in 21 classes 10 different secondary schools. The consisted of classroom material explaining the theory neuroplasticity mindset students, specific teaching methods, student activities. Data collected through questionnaire interviews with teachers, lesson observations. average scores showed tendency more after interventions. More importantly, questionnaires right interventions, indicated that attitudes respect mathematics changed, as became clear language use working trust care. These findings indicate importance fostering mindsets make accessible all students.
